In this class, you'll learn:

• The ins and outs of radial symmetry and how to create it with Affinity Designer

• How to use symbols and assets to design Mandalas quickly and precisely

• How to create Mandalas from scratch

• Techniques for filling your designs with texture and color

From the very first class, you'll be creating Mandalas and exploring the beauty of this art form. All you need is a computer or tablet with Affinity Designer and a mouse or pen tablet (if you have one), as well as access to a printer if you plan on using your designs as prints.

Even if you have no experience with drawing or creating Mandalas, Aldara will guide you step by step through the process. While a basic knowledge of Affinity Designer is helpful, anyone who is comfortable with the program on a tablet will be able to follow along.

As a bonus, this class includes a library of assets, a collection of brushes, and several color palettes to help you start designing right away. By the end of the class, you'll have a fully colored and textured Mandala as well as a coloring page to continue practicing your newfound skills. Plus, you'll have learned principles and techniques that can be applied to creating other circular designs like snowflakes, flowers, and even charts!
